And the Winner Is...

Neither!

Ha. Such as it is with trying to decorate a house. Kent and I went in circles with these paint colors and we still haven't decided.

Last night, we had the colors narrowed down to these three:

So we went and got samples of all three. We really like the brown (Calico Hill), which looks fairly different in real life and the yellow (Lemon Balm), which is actually much brighter than this image shows.

But Kent vetoed the blue.

No big deal. He just didn't like it very much. It was quite a bit more turquoise-y in real life and while I thought it was beautiful and vibrant and rich, it really didn't float his boat. He suggested red for the dining room (which we have in our condo dining room), but I just can't get on board with red and yellow. So that leaves us with this.

Green? A different blue? I'm just not sure. But I'll keep you posted. Since I'm sure you're dying to know.

Ok Sarah, you asked, so I'm giving my opinion. I think a sage-ish green would look really good with the brown and the yellow. Maybe one like Benjamin Moore's "Seedling" (yes, I googled a paint color for you).
I love paint colors/ideas, now I just need a house to paint!
Good luck, looks like you're off to a great start :)

I think Ashleigh's suggestion would look really nice. :-) Or if you change your mind about the red family, I think a nice, soft mulberry/burgundy would work well with the two colors you've already chosen. Like maybe Laura Ashley's 411 Burgundy on myperfectcolor.com :-) Have fun!
